FREQUENT AXE THROWING QUESTIONS
ARE THE AXES HEAVY?
Our axes weigh no more than any household hammer weighing between 1-3lbs. If you can swing a hammer, then you can throw an axe.
CAN I BRING MY OWN AXE?
We provide axes for all of our guests to use. But guests are more than welcome to bring their own axe! An Axed Out instructor will inspect the guest's axe for safety before it's allowed down range to be thrown.
IS AXE THROWING DANGEROUS?
Some think it is, especially with viral failed trickshots circulating, but it is Extremely safe! Our instructors will teach you the rules and proper techniques in how to throw correctly, and have you sticking on target in no time!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR WHILE AXE THROWING?
If you'd like to partake in axe throwing, then you'll need to wear closed toe shoes. No exceptions! We do have croc rentals available for those that forget to wear closed toe shoes. Wear clothes you'll be comfortable in to throw, and make sure your clothing will not restrict body movement.
WHAT AGES CAN THROW?
ALL AGES CAN THROW!
Children 6 years old and under can throw foam axes in our kid pit! Kids 7+ can throw real axes, as long as a guardian/parent signs a waiver, and is present for their entire throwing session.
IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED?
Axed Out is a BYOB facility, and allows cans of beer, wine, seltzer, and cider in reasonable amounts. We are in the middle of obtaining our TABC license, and are hoping we can sell beer, wine, seltzer, and cider soon!
Under NO circumstances will intoxicated people be allowed to throw axes! Let's keep it social; you're here to throw axes, not to get drunk.
